Pin with discoid head decorated with a frieze of animal heads with horns and a rosette.
Bronze. Length 26,7 cm.
9th century B.C. Luristan (Iran).
Intact. Green and red patina.

This pin is decorated in its center with a rosette surrounded with a frieze of heads of animals with horns. These pins were hammered or molded and were discovered in large number in houses, sanctuaries and graves. They were used in the everyday life as well as as votive objects in temples.
