Carnutes (Celtic Gaul, Chartres area).
AE potin, circa 50-30 B.C.
Helmeted (?) head left. A large globule obliterates the face between the nose and the chin.
Ithyphallic (?) wolf standing left under a cross in X with pelletized ends. Its flank is marked by three parallel streaks.
3,83 g. Gäumann, Potinmünzen der Kelten 43 var. ; DT 2612. Very rare. Nice dark brown patina. Extremely fine
