Right foot wearing a sandal.
Bronze. Length 14 cm. AL030706.
Well defined right foot, nails neatly indicated, wearing a leather sandal covering foot as far as base of toes, with several straps decorated with incised circles, the junctions of straps on ankles and rear of foot embellished with palmettes, on instep knot with two laces and thong running down to band across base of toes, four holes below thickened rim for furniture (?) attachment.
1st-2nd century A.D. Roman Empire.
Beautiful green patina. Superb condition.
